Ujjwal Acharya
is a media researcher working for the Center for Media Research - Nepal (CMR-Nepal). He holds a Master degree in Journalism and Mass Communication and worked as a journalist – from a trainee reporter to the digital editor in mainstream English and Nepali newspapers in Nepal for 14 years
He also chaired of Digital Media Committee as the Federation of Nepal Journalists (FNJ) from 2011 to 2013. Acharya is Nepal’s pioneer blogger, and led the web’s fight for democracy during autocratic regime in 2004. He is also a media rights activist, journalism lecturer and journalism trainer specialised in online journalism, digital safety, advocacy, campaigning and press freedom.
